Overview
The Social Activities Co-ordinator will be responsible for planning, promoting, and delivering a varied programme of social, cultural, and recreational activities that enhance the student experience.
Working closely with Student Services, clubs and societies, and external partners, the postholder will foster student engagement and community spirit within the college.
Responsibilities
Develop and deliver a calendar of social and cultural events aligned with student needs and interests.
Support the organisation of student clubs, societies, and volunteer initiatives.
Promote events effectively through digital platforms, noticeboards, and student networks.
Liaise with internal departments and external providers to secure venues, resources, and partnerships.
Encourage inclusive participation across diverse student groups.
Gather feedback to continuously improve the student social experience.
Assist with administrative duties, budgeting, and reporting as required.
Qualifications and Skills
Experience in event planning, student engagement, or community development (desirable).
Strong organisational and communication skills.
Ability to work flexibly, including occasional evenings.
Creative, approachable, and student-focused attitude.
