Group Financial Accountant

Location : Dublin 12 Hybrid / Remote : Hybrid post probation, flexible start times Compensation : €60-70k basic plus bonus, pension, DIS Our client is a well-known, PE-backed manufacturing group that is headquartered in Ireland. Due to significant growth and scaling into new markets through acquisition, the Group Financial Controller is seeking a qualified accountant with 1-2 years PQE to join the Group finance team. This role will work closely with senior finance staff, take ownership of day-to-day finance, onboard acquisitions and liaise with the wider business on implementing and streamlining systems and processes as part of ongoing acquisition integration. There is significant scope to progress in this role and, with a rate of one acquisition per year set to continue over the coming years, there is a great opportunity here to gain valuable commercial exposure. Key Responsibilities Prepare monthly group management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow statements and rolling forecasts Assist the annual business planning and budgeting processes and consolidation of same (P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow statements) Support external audit processes and compliance requirements Support preparation of annual statutory accounts and tax (FRS102 and IFRS) Identify opportunities to improve processes, and reporting tools Onboard new acquisitions Ensure suitable and robust financial controls are maintained across the Group Ad hoc analysis and project support as needed Provide support to each of the brands finance function Assist the group brands on commercial projects / initiatives Key Skills Qualified accountant with 1-2 years PQE Experience in a financial accounting role is preferred Advanced Excel skills Strong analytical ability Commercially minded, keen to be involved in the growth of a company Due to the high volume of applications received, we regret that we are unable to respond to all applications.
