Role Overview
Reporting to the Care Unit Manager, we are recruiting a permanent full time Staff Nurse working a 4 cycle roster to support our existing team and maintain the highest standards of person centred care to our residents.
The role is based within a small private Care Facility located Dublin 16. You will evaluate, plan, and implement Care to the highest professional and ethical standards daily, to provide holistic, person centred care, encouraging and supporting independence and enhancing the quality of life for our Residents.

Identify areas for quality improvement regarding gaining and sustaining HIQA StandardsAssist Residents at functions, gatherings, outings and at meal-timesProvide effective and efficient holistic nursing care. Assess the physical, psychological, social, spiritual and cultural needs of the Residents. Offer insight for the individuals Care provision in conjunction with GP, clinical staff and other disciplines supporting the ResidentsCo-operate with and drive the Infection Control Policies of the Care facility in the management and prevention of infectionComply with the medication policy and to ensure that regulations for safe keeping and recording of scheduled drugs are adhered toBe accountable for decision making regarding the residents nursing care and refer appropriately to the Clinical Nurse ManagerAlways be an advocate for the individual ResidentDevelop and promote good interpersonal relationships with Residents and the support teams in the consistent promotion of person centred careRespond effectively and quickly in an emergencyReport and consult with the senior nursing management on clinical issues as appropriate. Report verbally and in writing pertinent resident care information to appropriate nursing / medical officer and other clinical staffProvide and maintain a safe environment for self, colleagues and residents. Be aware of health and safety issuesEnsure all nursing and non-nursing procedures are carried out professionally and safelyEnsure that the care setting is maintained in good order and that all supplies are adequateReport adverse occurrences in line with policy, including incident reports, near miss reports, medication error reportsEnsure that the equipment is safe to use and report any malfunctions in a timely mannerRespect and maintain the privacy, dignity and confidentiality of the Residents alwaysEnsure all documentation relating to Residents is accurately maintained. Ensure that the resident's care plan is updated regularly as required.
