E&I Technicians

Position Description Our client is looking for multiple Electrical Instrumentation & Controls Team Members & Team Leaders to join their teams across Ireland. These positions will be an integral part of the maintenance team with responsibility for the safe, reliable and efficient maintenance and troubleshooting of the generating plant and equipment to help ensure that Stations operate to strict efficiency, availability, environmental and commercial standards. The successful candidate will work with a wide variety of electrical and control & instrumentation equipment. They will be required to work autonomously, be flexible and be a self-starter with the ability to provide support, on a full or part time basis, to other teams and projects as required by station management. They will be a team player with good problem-solving skills. Key Responsibilities? Ensure safety of staff and contractors through compliance with safety systems, including permits to work, setting to work and risk assessments Prioritise, schedule and coordinate planned and reactive maintenance activities to ensure business continuity Procurement of key services and components Supervise, build and develop maintenance in Electrical Instrumentation & Controls Team and manage all people related issues within the team or cross functional teams Supervise and Manage Contractors / Contracts Support of station projects, improvement areas, including LTAP process, process safety workstreams, stores management, etc Perform hands on planned and reactive electrical maintenance activities in accordance with site policies and procedures, including electrical fault finding, testing and repairs in a power generation work environment Installation, troubleshooting, repair and commissioning of plant equipment Maintaining accurate maintenance records using the computer maintenance management system Preparation and review of task specific Method statements and Risk Assessments Experience & Qualifications 2+ years experience industrial hands-on Electrical Instrumentation & Controls systems experience. FAS / SOLAS / Senior Trade electrical craft qualification or equivalent Full driving licence Demonstrated understanding and knowledge of HV / MV / LV electrical systems Understanding of heavy electrical components such transformers, generators, switchgears, motorised valves, motors Ability to read and understand electrical schematics and Piping and Instrumentation drawing Experience with instrumentation calibration and electrical test equipment Why Work with our client?
