Sales Assistant, Plant & Diy Department (Monday To Friday, Part-Time)

Arboretum Leighlinbridge is looking for a friendly, enthusiastic Sales Assistant, part-time Monday to Friday with core hours of 11am to 3pm to join our Plant and DIY team.

Our department offers a wide range of home, garden, and lifestyle products, and we need dedicated team members to help create memorable shopping experiences for our customers.

Your Role : As a Sales Assistant, you will be the face of the Arboretum store, welcoming customers, providing expert product advice, and assisting with sales.

You will help maintain an attractive, well-stocked, and organised space that reflects our high standards.

Key Responsibilities : Greet and engage customers in a friendly, helpful manner Provide knowledgeable advice about products and assist customers with their purchases Maintain attractive and well-organised displays and stock areas Assist with stock replenishment, inventory checks, and deliveries Ensure the Garden Centre area is clean, tidy, and safe at all times Support promotional activities and seasonal events Work collaboratively with the retail and horticultural team to meet sales targets and deliver excellent customer service.

What Were Looking For : A keen interest and knowledge in plants and gardening Horticultural training would be advantageous but not essential Previous retail or customer service experience is preferred but not essential A positive, approachable attitude with excellent communication skills To achieve and seek to exceed personal sales targets across targeted product areas Ability to work effectively as part of a team Attention to detail and pride in presentation Willingness to learn about our product range and share your knowledge with customers Flexibility to work weekdays and public holidays as required.
