Lead Quality EngineerOverview
We are looking for a Lead Software Engineer to join our talented team to aid Financial Institutions in their fight against money laundering and fraud.
We craft bespoke services that help our clients gain an understanding of the underlying criminal behaviour that drives financial crime, empowering them to take action.
This is a hands-on role focused on defining, developing and implementing QA strategies, methodologies and processes across the software development lifecycle.
You will work collaboratively with the team and stakeholders to deliver high quality, performant software solutions.
Role
- Lead the creation, maintenance and optimisation of the test automation code, strategies and processes.
- Take personal responsibility to deliver high quality, performant software solutions.
- Define, develop and implement quality assurance metrics including automation KPI's to demonstrate value and drive continuous quality and process improvements.
- Lead by example, building first class automation solutions and frameworks to validate all test types early in the delivery lifecycle.
- Create, review and execute detailed test plans, test cases and test scripts for various types of testing (functional, regression, performance, security, chaos)
- Identify, analyse and document defects working closely with the engineering team to ensure timely resolution.
- Monitor and report on testing progress, defect trends and overall quality metrics.
- Estimate and own quality assurance automation tasks (design, develop, test, deployment, configuration, documentation) to meet the business requirements.
- Mentor quality engineers on automation best practices, tooling, clean code and test maintenance.
- Develop a complete understanding of end-to-end technical architecture and dependency systems.
Apply that understanding in test automation code.

First and foremost, you are passionate about test automation and software quality, delivering high quality products to solve real, pressing problems for your customers.
You are proactive, detail oriented and enjoy writing and reviewing test automation code to a high standard.
You are happy to learn new programming languages and frameworks as necessary.
