Primary Duties
The Front of house duties involve providing excellent customer service, managing the reception area, and supporting the smooth operation of the salon.
- Customer Service
- Greeting clients warmly as they arrive
- Checking clients in and out for appointments
- Answering phone calls and responding to emails or messages
- Handling client queries and complaints professionally
- Offering refreshments to clients
- Appointment Management
- Booking, rescheduling, and cancelling appointments
- Managing the salon’s booking system / software
- Sending reminders or confirmations for upcoming appointments
- Administrative Tasks
- Taking payments and handling cash / card transactions
- Keeping accurate client records and updating them as needed
- Managing inventory for retail and salon supplies
- Preparing daily sales reports or end-of-day cashing up
- Reception Area Management
- Keeping the front desk and waiting area clean and organized
- Managing the display of retail products
- Team Support
- Communicating client needs or changes to Therapists
- Assisting with retail upselling or product recommendations
- Coordinating with salon management on daily operations
