The Role SEPS is seeking a shipping agent, responsibilities for this role will be related to the area of shipping services and the successful candidate will join our team based in Belview Port, Co. Waterford. The role includes responsibility for liaising, organising, overseeing and coordinating all aspects of ships port calls, from making berth arrangements and services ahead of the vessels arrival to finalising the accounts and other paperwork after the vessel has sailed. The role has a very significant IT element, various web based information platforms and hence a high standard of IT and computer literacy is an absolute requirement. The core working hours of this position are 08 : 00hrs to 17 : 00hrs, Monday to Friday. The role will require the mainly remote working of additional hours in the evenings and weekends In house training will be provided for the successful applicant. Who Were Looking For The successful candidate will possess the following : Shipping knowledge an advantage but not necessary Excellent IT skills and Computer Literacy An Experienced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) Strong organisational and time / schedule management skills Strong Negotiation Skills An ability to maintain active record keeping of live documents Regular communication intra and extra company of live action folders Self-Motivated with an ability to operate with initiative Own transport Customer service orientated Salary commensurate with experience Please click 'Apply' below
