Our client,

one of Ireland’s leading Mechanical, Electrical & Maintenance Contracting Companies, are seeking a Junior Mechanical Estimator to join their team on site based in Dublin . The client in question is a leading multi-disciplined projects company who have gained significant experience across a wide range of business sectors such as Pharmaceutical, Data Centres, Healthcare, and large Commercial Projects. Responsibilities

  • Office-based position providing support to estimators by quantifying mechanical services from drawings to formulate comprehensive and compliant tender figures.
  • Execute quantity take-offs and populate pricing documents.
  • Distribute work packages to suppliers and subcontractors for pricing.
  • Maintain effective communication with suppliers, subcontractors, and internal team members.
  • Assist in evaluating supplier and subcontractor quotes to ensure they meet project specifications and accuracy.
  • Support the Estimating Team in preparing documents for tender submissions.
  • Help maintain and update cost databases, ensuring all information remains current and precise.

Requirements

  • A relevant third-level qualification is preferred.
  • At least 1 year of post-qualification experience is desirable.
  • Familiarity with a contracting environment is advantageous.
  • Proactive and able to work effectively both as part of a team and independently.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365, with a particular emphasis on Excel.
  • Eagerness to learn and develop new skills.
  • Capable of multitasking in a dynamic office environment.
  • Comprehensive training will be provided to the successful candidate.
