About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Mulesoft API Architect to lead the design and implementation of robust API solutions for a key client engagement. This is a senior-level contract role requiring a proactive individual who can confidently liaise with stakeholders, drive architectural decisions, and ensure successful delivery across the API lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

Architect and design scalable, secure, and high-performance APIs using Mulesoft.
Collaborate directly with client stakeholders to gather requirements, present solutions, and influence technical direction.
Lead integration strategy and ensure alignment with enterprise architecture standards.
Oversee the development lifecycle, including design reviews, code quality, and deployment best practices.
Troubleshoot complex integration issues and provide expert-level guidance to development teams.
Document architecture decisions, integration patterns, and technical specifications.

Required Skills & Experience

3–5 years of hands-on experience with Mulesoft API architecture and integration.

Proven track record of delivering enterprise-grade API solutions.

Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, RAML, and API-led connectivity.

Experience with CI / CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and cloud-native deployments.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Ability to work independently and “make things happen” in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to Have

Mulesoft certification (Architect or Developer).

Familiarity with other integration platforms or microservices architecture.
