The successful candidate will be an excellent communicator and enjoy the challenges of working in a dynamic team environment and possess the following skills at a minimum :

Essential Qualifications

Registered with Nursing & Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI) or eligible to register with NMBIEssential Experience

7 years post registration experience in an acute hospital setting within the last 9 years.Post Graduate Diploma in either Theatre or Perioperative NursingMinimum of 4 years management experience at CNM2 or CNM3 level within the last 7 yearsCompleted a Management Programme or Commitment to undertake a relevant Management Qualification following appointmentDesirable Experience

MSc in Nursing / Management / LeadershipEssential Competencies

Strong leadership and communication skillsProven ability in the areas of people management, resource management, conflict resolution, problem solving, decision making, change & innovation, organisational knowledge and operational planningExcellent interpersonal, communication and IT skills essentialExperience of personal & professional developmentKnowledge of Quality, & safety management, Patient Safety & Risk managementInformal enquiries to
