Job Overview :
We are seeking a skilled Cloud Engineer with expertise in Microsoft Azure to join our global team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Infrastructure as Code (IaC), cost optimization, security best practices, and cloud operations, with a focus on maintaining SLAs, supporting BAU activities, and delivering project work. This role requires collaboration with a global team to ensure efficient, secure, and cost-effective cloud operations.
Key Responsibilities :
Infrastructure as Code (IaC) :
Design, implement, Maintain and manage Azure infrastructure using IaC tools such as Terraform, ARM templates,
Automate deployment and configuration processes to ensure consistency, scalability, and security compliance.
Cost Optimization :
Monitor and optimize Azure spending to ensure cost efficiency.
Implement cost management strategies, including resource tagging
Provide regular cost reports and recommendations to stakeholders.
Security and Compliance :
Implement and enforce security best practices across Azure environments, including identity and access management (IAM), network security, and data protection.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and certifications (e.g., ISO 27001, SOC 2, GDPR).
Collaborate with team to perform regular security assessments, vulnerability scans, and penetration testing.
Manage and respond to security incidents, ensuring timely resolution and mitigation.
Certification and Compliance Management :
Manage and renew Azure certifications, ensuring adherence to security and compliance requirements.
Maintain documentation for audits and compliance checks.
BAU Support and SLA Management :
Provide day-to-day operational support for Azure environments, ensuring high availability, performance, and security.
Monitor and maintain SLA levels, responding to and resolving incidents promptly.
Perform root cause analysis for recurring issues and implement preventive measures.
Project Work :
Lead and contribute to cloud migration, modernization, and innovation projects with a strong focus on security and compliance.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.
Global Collaboration :
Work closely with a global team to align on best practices, share knowledge, and ensure consistent cloud operations.
Qualifications and Skills :
Essential :
Proven experience as a Cloud Engineer or similar role, with a focus on Microsoft Azure.
Working knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, ARM templates, Bicep).
Expertise Experience with cost management and optimization in Azure.
Familiarity in cyber security.
Expertise with Azure certifications and compliance requirements.
Strong troubleshooting skills and experience in BAU support and incident management.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with experience working in a global team.
Desirable :
Azure certifications (e.g., AZ-104, AZ-305, AZ-500, AZ-400).
Experience with DevOps practices and tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions).
Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Azure Monitor, Log Analytics).
Familiarity with security frameworks (e.g., NIST, CIS Benchmarks).
