Job description

Position Overview :  We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Food & Beverage Assistant to support the daily operations of our busy restaurant. The ideal candidate will have a love for food, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service. As a Food & Beverage Assistant, you will be an integral part of our team, ensuring that our customers enjoy a delightful experience from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Assist with the preparation and presentation of a variety of food items, including sandwiches, pastries, salads, and other menu offerings.
  • Serve food and beverages to customers in a prompt and courteous manner, ensuring a high standard of service.
  • Take orders at the counter or at tables, providing menu recommendations and answering any customer queries.
  • Support the Barista in preparing and serving hot and cold beverages as needed.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in all areas of the cafe, including the dining area, kitchen, and storage spaces.
  • Monitor food stock levels, assist with ordering supplies, and ensure proper storage of food items.
  • Follow food safety and hygiene regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Assist with setting up and clearing tables, washing dishes, and performing general cleaning duties.
  • Work collaboratively with the rest of the team to ensure smooth service and a positive customer experience.

Qualifications :

  • Previous experience in a similar food and beverage or hospitality role is preferred.
  • A strong passion for food and a desire to learn more about the culinary arts.
  • Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • A positive attitude and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
