Applications are invited for a specified purpose post of a Teaching Fellow in Computer Science within UCD School of Computer Science. The UCD School of Computer Science ( is Ireland's leading computer science school in terms of teaching and research. We offer taught programmes at undergraduate and graduate levels which attract the top students from Ireland and abroad. Our staff are research active and hold key leadership positions in internationally significant research centres such as the Insight Centre for Data Analytics (insight- CeADAR - the Centre for Applied AI ( ML Labs Centre for Research Training (ml- and the UCD Centre for Cybersecurity and Cybercrime Investigation ( The School is committed to excellence in teaching and research and to supporting the Information & Communications Technology sector in Ireland. The School of Computer Science seeks to appoint a temporary Teaching Fellow. The successful candidate will ideally commence in August 2025 or shortly thereafter. The initial appointment is for 6-9 months, with the potential for a further fixed-term extension. The appointee will be expected to contribute to teaching, tutoring, project supervision and assessment on our BSc and MSc taught programmes. The successful candidate will ideally be a scholar who has a background and research interests in Computer Science or a cognate discipline and has experience of teaching or tutoring in a third-level institution. Teaching fellows are expected to participate actively in the academic life of the School and make a contribution to School administration. Salary Range : €40,000 - €47,000 Per Annum Appointment will be made on scale and in accordance with the Department of Finance guidelines Closing date : 12 : 00 noon (local Irish time) on the 11th of July 2025.
