Senior Pricing Analyst

The Role :

Reporting to the SVP Pricing, this role will primarily research, evaluate and develop commercial, strategic and financial analysis as a key partner in the execution of deals with the Origination, Capital Markets & Trading, and OEM Teams.

Key Responsibilities :

Deal Activity :

• Pro-active collaboration within cross-functional deal teams for large volume and highly complex transactions of all types (Sale & Leaseback, Placement, Remarketing, Trading, OEM);
• Utilise industry experience, knowledge of assets, and commercial acumen to independently steer the economic outcome and structure of transactions;
• Ensure familiarity with the corporate business plan and structure deals to meet hurdles;
• Perform bespoke financial analysis and prepare ad-hoc financial models for a wide range of investment opportunities and portfolio management decisions;
• Independently recognise key elements from modelling results, with ability to interpret, evaluate, and effectively communicate to multiple stakeholder types;
• Proactively communicate with our internal customers while working deals to maintain awareness of their changing needs;
• Act as a "go-to" advisor for one or more areas of specialisation within aircraft lease pricing;
• Understand all aircraft maintenance and technical aspects of a deal which have economic impact;
• Evaluate the accounting and profit / loss impact of proposed deals and provide insightful guidance on same;
• Input into Approval Committee papers for deal approval;

Leverage prior experience to support the deal activity of team colleagues.

Modelling :

Model & Process Development – execution of team projects to build / improve long term financial models / tools, processes, and policies, that will increase efficiency and contribute to the success of the organisation.

The Person :

You will be naturally numerate and possess a passion for financial and commercial analysis.

You will have an ability to handle large volumes of data and information, deal with a high degree of complexity in such information and draw clear conclusions through insightful analysis.

Skills & Experience :

Quantitative honours degree e.g., finance, mathematics, actuarial, engineering, science etc.

Previous experience in aircraft leasing / aviation finance is essential.

Lease pricing experience is highly desirable.

Strong numerical, analytical and critical analysis skills, proven ability to find creative solutions to extract value.

Excellent interpersonal skills, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to develop diverse stakeholder relationships, skillfully navigating challenging situations to drive optimal business outcomes.

Capable of challenging appropriately and can navigate conflict in a timely and constructive way.

Highly commercial, thorough, with keen attention to detail, but also able to take a 'big picture' view and couple with a strong ability to distil analytical insight into clear and concise conclusions.

Strong and independent minded with the ability to express views with conviction, showing bravery in confronting established thought while recognising alternative perspectives.

Track record of achievement and delivering successful outcomes in a fast-paced commercial environment.

Proven ability to thrive in a dynamic team setting while managing multiple competing work streams.

Excellent knowledge of, and advanced modelling proficiency in, Microsoft Excel.
