Business Insights Specialist

Business Insights Specialist I am seeking a strategic and analytical Business Insights Specialist to help strengthen data-centric decision-making across my client's organisation. This role requires a sharp thinker who can translate data into actionable insights and collaborate with stakeholders to support key business decisions. You will work alongside other analysts and insight specialists to uncover important trends, identify growth opportunities, and contribute to performance improvements. Success in this role requires a mix of technical expertise, commercial awareness, and the ability to craft clear, compelling stories from data to influence decision-making at all levels. Proven expertise in strategy is a must for this. Please Note : This position follows a hybrid work model, with candidates expected to work onsite at my client's Dublin office at least once per week. Strong day rate available. Required Skills Proven experience in a business insights, strategy, or analytics role - ideally within a fast-paced, complex environment Strong technical skills in data analysis, modelling, and visualisation tools (e.g. SQL, Python, Power BI, Tableau) Solid understanding of statistical concepts and how to apply them to business challenges Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex data into clear business insights Skilled at data storytelling - combining visuals, narrative, and context to bring insights to life Commercially aware, with a good understanding of business operations, KPIs, and performance drivers Key Responsibilities Develop and deliver insights that support strategic planning, commercial operations, and performance management Translate complex data sets into clear, concise, and actionable insights through effective visualisation and storytelling Work closely with stakeholders to understand business priorities and provide insights that inform key initiatives Contribute to a culture of curiosity, rigour, and forward-thinking analysis within the insights team Promote the use of modern analytics and visualisation tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau) and best practices Tailor insights to different audiences, ensuring recommendations are clear and actionable Support cross-functional teams in using data effectively to drive continuous improvement Monitor external market, customer, and competitor trends to help inform strategic decisions Additional Information Immediate interviews with prompt start date available.
