Responsibilities of the Senior Buying Manager include :
Own and optimise the commercial performance of your category through annual trading plans and targeted budgetsDrive revenue and margin growth by setting and monitoring product costs, pricing, and portfolio profitabilityDevelop a compelling food range based on market trends and consumer insightLead the introduction of innovative Own Brand products in collaboration with product development teamsNegotiate best-in-class purchase terms, ensuring quality, availability and competitivenessBuild and manage long-term supplier relationships that support joint business planningAct as the commercial link between the brand and the retail network, supporting execution and implementation through effective store toolkitsAlign category plans with brand values and customer expectationsContribute to and lead strategic projects that enhance trading performance and category impactRequirements for the Senior Buying Manager include :
3+ years’ experience in a buying, category, or trading role in retail or FMCGStrong commercial acumen and track record of delivering profitable category growthPassion for food and deep awareness of food trends and shopper behaviourSolid understanding of the Irish and / or UK grocery marketExcellent negotiation, communication and supplier relationship management skillsProficient in data analysis with a strategic, insights-led approachKnowledge of category management principles an advantageDegree qualified or equivalent relevant experienceAoife Clarke is handling the recruitment for this role in complete confidentiality.
