Unijobs on behalf of our public sector client have a requirement for a Senior Project Manager - Finance. This position is hybrid working with the requirement to attend meetings when required office the in Dublin 8. The successful candidate will be employed as an agency employee working 35 hours per week. This is also a temporary contract, initially for 12 months with the possibility of it being extended. The salary on offer for this position is €81,444, this works out as €44.60 per hour. You will also accrue 30 days annual leave per annum and be paid bank holidays. Overview of the role : Working as part of the Chief Information Security Office, Senior Project Manager are expected to manage all aspects of one or more ICT & Cyber Transformation projects, possibly including initial scoping and planning stages, in accordance with the standards, tools and methodologies of the function Senior Projects Manager will likely manage projects with significant budgets and strategic importance Senior Projects Manager will be expected to report, in a matrix framework, to a number of stakeholder groups, through the primary channel of the office Senior Project Manager may be allocated to a portfolio of projects or work packages dependent on the stage individual projects are at plus level of work commitment required. This is to ensure efficient use and maximisation of resource expertise and availability for the duration of the contract. Experience : Must have : A track record of achievement in a Financial Analysis and Financial Reporting role within a large complex organisation, encompassing direct engagement with and influencing of senior decision makers regarding financial performance and control Play a key role in supporting improvements in financial data management of the ICT & Cyber Programme Experience of Project management lifecycle preferably for a Health Service Organisation, delivering projects from definition to deployment therefore having real life experience from requirements, test, deploy close out of a project along with programme lifecycle processes (e.g. approval, governance, reporting) and associated tools / templates, or having worked within a Digital Transformation Office. Experience of process definition and mapping along with framework design associated with programme lifecycle management. Experience of budget planning, strong financial management and resource management processes Proficiency in MS Office suite of applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio and Project must be demonstrated. Business Competencies : Displays leadership, high level of communication and interpersonal skills including liaising with multiple stakeholders Excellent ICT, presentation and report writing skills and communication of key message to non-Finance Managers. Experience with developing & presenting financial reports and trend analysis for SMT & Project Steering board. Knowledge and experience of Financial Reporting Standards (FRS) and best practice in organisational governance and compliance. Understanding of financial terminology Excellent Excel skills - pivots / macros / trend analysis Ability to work with the other ICT units to ensure that ICT programmes are delivered in a cohesive and planned manner. Demonstrate experience in working collaboratively with stakeholders and partners to ensure that the impact of projects are maximised. Demonstrates evidence of strategic management skills including service planning, managing own work and that of others, delegating appropriately within the resources available.
