Our client is a well-established and highly regarded building contractor operating across the North West region. With a strong portfolio of public and private sector projects, they are known for delivering high-quality builds while maintaining the highest safety and compliance standards. Due to continued growth, they are now seeking to appoint an experienced or senior Health & Safety Advisor to join their team on a permanent basis. Role Overview : The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring health and safety compliance across a range of general building projects. You will work closely with site teams and senior management to maintain and develop a proactive safety culture. Key Responsibilities : Monitor and enforce health & safety policies across active construction sites Conduct regular site inspections, audits and risk assessments Ensure compliance with Irish health & safety legislation, including Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Act Deliver toolbox talks and safety inductions Investigate incidents and report findings Liaise with site managers and subcontractors to support best practices Maintain and update safety documentation and site safety files Advise on best practice in construction health & safety Candidate Requirements : Minimum 4+ years' experience in a similar Health & Safety role within the building construction industry Relevant H&S qualification (e.g. Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety, IOSH / NEBOSH) Solid knowledge of Irish construction safety legislation Strong communication and organisational skills Ability to influence and drive a positive safety culture on site What’s on Offer : Permanent full-time position with a leading regional contractor Long-term projects in the North West (minimal travel) Competitive salary package commensurate with experience Strong pipeline of work and opportunity to grow within a supportive team
