Undertakes a client-facing role in the development, design, and coordination of engineering project services for Mechanical or Electrical installations, systems, equipment, facilities, etc.

Develops and specifies applications of controls, instruments, and operating systems for building engineering services.

Specifies activities to ensure manufacturing, construction, installation, and operational testing conform to functional specifications and customer requirements.

Makes day-to-day decisions on project progress and liaises with and advises clients.

Represents the company at technical meetings with customers, professional teams, and contractors.

Ensures engineering calculations and drawings meet industry and legal standards.

Leads the coordination of engineering services.

Considers holistically the selection and application of engineering concepts and solutions.

Provides training and mentorship to junior staff.

Key Requirements : BSc / BEng or degree in appropriate engineering discipline or sufficient equivalent experience.

MCIBSE / MIEE or HNC / HND plus relevant experience or equivalent.

Working towards Chartered Engineer status.

Significant experience in specification design for various building types.

Strong knowledge of health and safety issues and legislation.

Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, etc.).

Ability to use IT-based calculation and spreadsheet software.

Good understanding of BS standards, UK regulations, and codes.
