Role Overview

We are seeking a qualified Psychologist or Psychotherapist for an affiliate Wellbeing Coach contract position.

In this role, you will operate as an independent contractor closely affiliated with our team, providing critical support during periods of leave and ensuring key functions remain uninterrupted.

While you will maintain the flexibility typical of affiliate roles, a commitment to regular availability and onsite engagement is essential in the case of this position.

The role of an Affiliate Wellbeing Coach provides proactive and responsive mental health support through individual and group coaching, training, and daily on-site engagement.

The Wellbeing Coach promotes emotional resilience, identifies early signs of distress, and supports the psychological well-being of Trust & Safety professionals.

Key Responsibilities

Individual Well-Being Coaching

Conduct monthly or on-demand 1 : 1 well-being coaching sessions with each assigned individual, face to face unless otherwise specified.

Provide same-day coaching support in response to urgent wellbeing needs.

Incorporate stress-reduction techniques, coping strategies, and decision-making skills into coaching using short term coaching models.

Group Coaching Sessions

Facilitate monthly small-group coaching sessions for assigned individuals to address team-related well-being topics.

Tailor sessions based on specific group needs, feedback from Team Leads, or insights gained by the coaching team.

Ensure sessions are conducted in person, unless otherwise directed.

Training & Development

Deliver small group training sessions including onboarding, well-being and resiliency training, and annual refresher training for assigned individuals.

Facilitate additional approved ad hoc training sessions as requested, aligned with organizational needs.

Ensure all training is delivered within prescribed timeframes and formats provided by the organization.

Observation & Support

Conduct daily floor walks ("walk and talks") during each shift to observe team interactions and employee demeanor for signs of distress.

Normalize wellbeing coach presence on-site as a supportive and integrated member of the Trust & Safety team.

Provide discreet and proactive intervention as necessary.

Monitoring & Communication

Actively monitor and respond to direct communications from individuals across designated platforms, including email and other approved communication tools.

Maintain a professional, supportive, and timely response protocol.

Documentation & Data Entry

Accurately record attendance and aggregate trends / topics in the organization's system of record within 24 hours of each session.

Update working schedule and coaching session plan 28 days in advance of sessions taking place.

Enter coaching session insights (excluding any clinical or personally identifiable information) using the organization's coaching tool in alignment with privacy and data protection policies.

Adhere to all legal and ethical reporting obligations, including risk-based disclosures.

Wellbeing Coach Insights & Reporting

Summarize trends and insights from coaching sessions and observations during floor walks using the organization's reporting tools.

Contribute to regular team updates and meetings with relevant aggregated insights.

Scheduling & Availability

Manage your own schedule effectively including blocking time for on-demand sessions, floor walks, and proactive engagement activities in alignment with best practice guidelines.

Remain available and responsive for unscheduled support and crisis interventions as needed.

Qualifications and Experience

Minimum Level 8 BA or BSc (Hons) degree from a recognized and accredited institution in either Clinical Counselling, Health Psychology, Therapeutic Counselling, Psychotherapy, or Clinical Social Work.

Minimum of 2 years' post qualification experience in mental health, preferably in areas such as trauma counselling, resilience-building programs, general or clinical mental health support.

Psychologists require minimum graduate membership of Psychological Society of Ireland (PSI).

Psychotherapists require full accreditation from a relevant body such as Irish Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (IACP), Association of Professional Counsellors and Psychotherapists or equivalent.

Strong presentation and group facilitation skills.

Demonstrated ability to engage clients and build relationships.

Fluent in written and spoken English is mandatory.

Prior experience working in a corporate setting is an asset.

Prior experience working with Trust and Safety professionals is an asset.

Complete CPD training in alignment with governing body requirements and be able to provide evidence if required.

Please note, Garda Vetting and Criminal Background Checks are prerequisites for this role.
