Niall Russell Engineering LTD currently have a position for an Apprentice Fitter to join their progressive team. On completion of this four-year apprenticeship, you will become a fully qualified maintenance fitter, with a QQI Level 6 Advanced Certificate Craft in Maintenance Fitting. You will earn a salary while you learn, get a formal contract of employment, and gain a recognized qualification
What the programme looks like :
- 4-year structured programme of on-the-job experience and off the job in college
- Based in a factory environment learning about different areas of the operation
- Experience of working within fast paced sites and environments
- A framework of professional training modules

Key tasks / responsibilities will include :
Work with drilling and milling machines and welding plantsWork with a variety of specialised tools such as lathes, milling machines and grindersInstall, service, maintain, and rectify faults of machine tools, power and production equipmentDismantle, repair or make and fit new parts when performing plant maintenanceMonitor conditions using modern maintenance techniquesEntry requirements :
Grade D in five subjects in the Department of Education & Skills Junior Certificate Examination or an approved equivalent, orWhat we are looking for in a candidate :
