Job descriptionWork with drilling and milling machines and welding plants Work with a variety of specialised tools such as lathes, milling machines and grinders Install, service, maintain, and rectify faults of machine tools, power and production equipment Dismantle, repair or make and fit new parts when performing plant maintenance Monitor conditions using modern maintenance techniques Grade D in five subjects in the Department of Education & Skills Junior Certificate Examination or an approved equivalent, or Passion and motivation to start and develop a career within the Manufacturing industry Willing to take on responsibility from day one Flexible in approach to working styles, shifts and roles Eligibility to work in the Republic of Ireland for the full duration of the placement Must be fluent in English Confident communicator – able to tailor communication style according to the audience Enthusiastic and open-minded in getting the most out of the programme Sensitive to diverse working teams and environments
Niall Russell Engineering LTD currently have a position for an Apprentice Fitter to join their progressive team. On completion of this four-year apprenticeship, you will become a fully qualified maintenance fitter, with a QQI Level 6 Advanced Certificate Craft in Maintenance Fitting. You will earn a salary while you learn, get a formal contract of employment, and gain a recognized qualification

- 4-year structured programme of on-the-job experience and off the job in college
- Based in a factory environment learning about different areas of the operation
- Experience of working within fast paced sites and environments
- A framework of professional training modules
- Regular performance feedback and personal development planning
