This key role ensures that we deliver an award-winning service to Avant Money mortgage customers whilst protecting the business through tight control of all operational risks.

This is an excellent opportunity for the right candidate looking to progress their career with Ireland's latest digital retail bank.

Key Responsibilities : The successful candidate will have a dual reporting line to the Senior Manager for Mortgage Operations and the Senior Manager, for Mortgage Risk and Control.

Manage mortgage operations including services delivered by internal Avant Money teams in Dublin and Carrick-on-Shannon, by Bankinter group functions in Madrid and Lisbon, and at various third-party service providers.

Oversee day-to-day operations to ensure we always deliver a superior customer and broker experience.

Manage all services in a disciplined fashion to achieve regulatory obligations and internal deadlines.

Own the service process and control library, keeping it up to date as the operations evolve.

Develop and monitor capacity plans, ensuring adequate resources are available to meet predicted demand and any bottlenecks are resolved in a timely manner.

Own operational issues, errors, complaints to a successful resolution and root cause analysis.

Ensure all mortgage operations are controlled in line with Group and regulatory policies and that we proactive manage a robust mortgage control environment.

Act at the first line of defence for mortgage operations risk and compliance.

Perform and manage quality assurance checks on key processes.

Develop and monitor key operational metrics and dashboards.

Monitor compliance with agreed policies and regulatory requirements.

Prepare a monthly report summarising operational and risk performance.

Drive efficiency and smaller change projects to deliver ongoing operational improvements and cost reduction.

Identify and implement improvements to the customer experience.

Continuously review and implement the operational effectiveness of our processes.

Maintain operational procedure documentation in a structured manner.

Manage operational change projects or act as the operations representative on larger business change programmes.

Embrace innovation opportunities such as the use of artificial intelligence; workflow automation; data analytics and similar.

About you : Experience in a residential mortgage operational environment.

In-depth knowledge of all aspects of mortgage operations including origination, funds issue and account management.

Good knowledge of operational risk and the management of controls in mortgage operations.

Strong process orientation and change management competencies.

Accuracy and attention to detail.

Team player who brings a positive can-do attitude.

Intermediate to advanced capability with Microsoft office tools.

Process design experience including the use of Microsoft Visio.

Workflow management experience (Appian).

Operational management of mortgage arrears.
