Hotel Receptionist

Lucan Spa Hotel is looking for candidates as a part-time hotel receptionist to join our professional front desk team. Our hotel comprises of 71 bedrooms situated in Lucan, Co. Dublin, offering guests an ideal spot for business travel or leisure. We offer warm and friendly service to all of our guests and hope that you can become part of that team ethic. The hotel front desk team operate using the Guestline (Rezlynx) property management system. Full in-house training is provided for this role. We have availability for a part-time role operating within 2-3 eight hour shifts per week. Considering the nature of our industry, this role will involve shifts, evenings & possibly weekend work. Main Duties : Delivers a consistent and superior guest experience. Ensure daily arrivals check is complete, including specials, traces and arrival details report. Carry out guest check-in and check-outs in a timely, friendly and efficient manner. Ensures guest requests are satisfied in a timely and personable manner. Operate the telephone switchboard, answering calls and enquiries for reservations and directing all calls coming into the front desk to relevant departments within the hotel. Liaise with the housekeeping team and any other relevant departments in the hotel in relation to specific guests requests. Uses suggestive upselling techniques to sell room nights, increase occupancy and revenue. Carry out a complete and accurate passover to fellow front desk members and night porter team. Requirements : 1 - 2 years experience in a similar role within a 3 / 4

• hotel is desirable but is not essential. Must be computer literate i.e. word & excel and have an aptitude for operating software and online systems. Must be fluent in the English Language both written and spoken. Must be enthusiastic and a quick learner. Excellent customer care skills. Excellent communications skills. Excellent people skills. Must be able to work as part of a team and on own initiative. Must be available to work a combination of shifts both early and late (shifts vary, but typically operate within 7.00am 3.00pm and 3.00pm 11.00pm).
