The Opportunity
A vacancy has arisen for a Finance Director, Continental Europe Manager to join the finance team in Dublin, on a permanent basis.
Key Accountabilities :
- Work closely with the CE business leader to create and deliver the 3-year strategic plan that drives continuous revenue growth and margin improvement
- Lead the delivery of the financial performance of the business in line with the annual budget working closely with the Europe leadership team
- Be a key influencer and decision-maker on both the GPN CE leadership team and the global GPN Finance team
- Direct and own the annual financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes
- Lead the Finance team and ensure accurate and timely reporting of the financial performance of the business; explain actual business results to the executive team through clear and accurate written and verbal presentations on a monthly basis
- Identify and drive initiatives that improve the overall profitability of the business
- Lead the development of business cases for strategic projects and initiatives and ensure financial commitments are delivered
- Work collaboratively and cross-functionally to support the various regional teams including Sales, Marketing, and Product Supply.
- Overseeing, inputting on and approving value chains for NPD Innovations and Business Cases.
- Work closely with the European Accounting team to ensure the financial statements are complete and accurate; support the group and statutory financial audit process with input and information requests as needed
- Provide strong leadership to the Finance Team to ensure their wellbeing, including Coaching & Development
- Deliver bespoke financial information and guidance for key strategic and operational decisions.
The Skills you will bring to the team
Degree educated or equivalent as well as being a qualified accountant – ACA, ACCA or CIMA.A proven track record of Financial Leadership and delivery of financial performance at a regional levelExperience leading finance teams and owning P&L delivery in the CPG / FMCG sectorStrong commercial acumen and strong appreciation of the challenges of growing a business in both e-commerce and brick and mortar retailStrong motivational skills and ability to lead a team based across EuropeHigh level of ability in terms of project planning, prioritisation and critical thinking will be essentialStrong analytical skills, detail-oriented, and well-organizedExcellent written and verbal presentation skillsWhere and how you will work
