Your new company is a leading building and civil engineering contractor working across several industries. They are currently looking for a Purchasing Administrator to join their team.
Your new role
In this role you will support the procurement team to streamline procurement operations. This is a fully office-based role.
Your responsibilities
- Performing general admin duties such as filing, data entry, and document management
- Ensuring all procurement activities comply with company policies and legal requirements
- Ensuring approvals are in place in accordance with agreed procedures
- Carry out due diligence on new account requests
- Communicate with site regarding the progress of vendor set-ups
- Update the new account trackers for all new requests, update the database and record all information in accordance with the agreed process.
- Issues relevant forms to potential new vendors
- Collate and review all received forms and send for managers' approval.
- Weekly review of supplier insurance for all entities : contacting suppliers to request new insurance certificates where required, including monitoring insurance mailbox.
- Under team guidance, review received certificates and confirm the appropriate level and type of insurance are in place : recording documentation as per agreed procedures.
What you'll need to succeed
1-2 years experience in a similar administrative role
Ability to work proactively and meet deadlines
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
