Description Overview

Supporting the E2E Fright Manager, the primary role of the Optimisation Logistics Specialist is to drive continuous improvement in logistics operations by leveraging data insights to identify cost-saving opportunities, enhance transport efficiency, and support strategic decision-making.

Scope of the Role

You will :

  • Analyse transport data from the Transport Management System (TMS) and other sources.
  • Analysing transportation data to identify cost-saving and service improvement opportunities.
  • Supporting the development and execution of performance strategies and initiatives.
  • Creating and maintaining dashboards and reports using Excel and Power BI to monitor key KPIs.
  • Assisting in monthly financial reporting and transportation budget planning.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to align logistics strategies with business goals.
  • Monitoring KPIs and recommending corrective actions to address performance gaps.
  • Ensuring compliance with transportation regulations and internal policies.
  • Documenting and standardizing logistics processes for consistency and scalability.
  • Supporting continuous improvement and innovation in logistics operations.

Experience Required

  • Ideally you will hold a 3rd level qualification or equivalent, preferably the field of Business, Supply Chain, Logistics or similar related field.
  • Language skills - English (Required); Second Language would be an advantage.
  • Proficiency in Transport Management Systems (eg) Transporeon and data analytics tools (eg) SAP, Power BI
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Results-driven with a proactive and accountable mindset.
  • Effective communicator and collaborator across all levels.
  • Experience in supporting logistics transformation projects would be a distinct advantage.
  • Experience in logistics cost analysis and process optimisation.
  • Financial fluency in transportation cost structures and reporting.
  • Understanding of transportation regulations and industry best practices.
