Join one of Dublin's fastest-growing e-commerce companies, known for its innovative platform, rapidly expanding customer base, and dynamic working environment. As part of their continued growth, they are looking for a talented Mid-Level PHP Developer to join their development team.

As a PHP Developer, you'll play a key role in developing and maintaining the core e-commerce platform. You'll work alongside a highly skilled team of developers, designers, and product managers to deliver new features, optimise existing systems, and ensure the platform remains scalable and secure as we grow.

Responsibilities :

  • Design, develop, and maintain server-side applications using PHP (primarily Laravel or Symfony frameworks).
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (design, product, QA) to define, design, and ship new features.
  • Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
  • Maintain and improve existing codebase with a focus on performance, security, and reliability.
  • Integrate third-party APIs and internal services.
  • Participate in code reviews, contribute to best practices, and support continuous improvement.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve software defects and issues in a timely manner.

Requirements :

  • 3+ years of professional PHP development experience.
  • Strong experience with modern PHP frameworks ( Laravel, Symfony , or similar).
  • Solid understanding of object-oriented programming principles.
  • Experience working with MySQL or other relational databases.
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs and integrating third-party services.
  • Good knowledge of version control systems, ideally Git .
  • Understanding of front-end technologies ( JavaScript, HTML, CSS ) is a plus.
  • Experience working in an Agile / Scrum environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Desirable :

  • Experience in e-commerce or high-traffic web applications.
  • Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes , or cloud services ( AWS, Azure, GCP ).
  • Exposure to CI / CD pipelines .
  • Familiarity with microservices architecture
