Uniphar are embarking on an ambitious, multi-year transformation program and are seeking an Enterprise Architect to oversee the technology decisions in one of our divisions.

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Enterprise Architect to join our team, responsible for mapping out the as-is and to-be architecture states and defining transitional architectures across one of our three divisions.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in managing complex IT environments, and will have a varied technology background, with a focus on Digital Transformation to deliver outstanding Digital Capabilities to our clients and partners.

The Enterprise Architect will play a crucial role in ensuring the stability, scalability, and security of our systems and improving business outcomes for our clients and partners.

Key Responsibilities

Enterprise Architecture :

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to document, design and maintain scalable and efficient enterprise architectures.

Documentation of as-is architectures to enable strategic business discussions to take place, fostering business improvement and business case options.

Define to-be architectures that meet strategic business needs.

Be an advocate for Capability based planning and evangelism to the organisation.

Work with our Solution Architects to ensure any solutions align to strategic objectives.

Conduct thorough assessments of existing solution architectures and propose improvements to enhance performance, reliability and efficiency.

Ensure repeatability, scalability, disaster recovery and other non-functional requirements are captured in all solution architecture designs.

Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry best practices to continuously improve our architecture capabilities.

Foster an environment of innovation and continuous improvement in line with organizational goals.

Design and Own Architecture Review Board for your Division, Aligning to wider Organisation Architecture Processes

Vendor Management

Engage with vendors to evaluate and select solutions that align with business requirements.

Monitor vendor performance and manage relationships to ensure service level agreements are met.

Collaborate with procurement to negotiate contracts and ensure cost-effectiveness.

Conduct regular vendor reviews to assess their alignment with evolving business needs.

Stakeholder Management

Engage with stakeholders to understand their needs and priorities and ensure that solutions align with their expectations.

Work closely with project managers & architects to understand upcoming project demands.

Evangelizing the art of the possible around your selected solution area.

Risk & Change Management

Identify and assess potential risks associated with solution architectures and develop mitigation strategies to minimize their impact.

Develop and implement change management processes to ensure smooth adoption of new solutions and minimize disruption to business operations.

Project Responsibilities

Working within the guidelines and to the objectives defined by any project or program currently running.

Report task updates and status reports to any relevant project streams.

Prioritize work items and tasks based on project or program guidance.

Key Skills, Experiences & Competencies

Experience defining Enterprise Architect Principles and managing by exception.

Proven leadership skills with a focus on fostering innovation and continuous improvement.

Ability to inspire and lead teams toward achieving strategic goals.

Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Experience with retail and digital systems.

Strong negotiation and contract management skills.

Proven ability to analyse complex technical issues and provide effective solutions.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools.

Experience with patient data and GDPR law would be beneficial.

Any experience in the retail pharmacy domain would be a distinct advantage.

TOGAF Certification would be a plus.

Any experience with LeanIX would be a plus.

Business Scenario & Business Process Mapping.

Business Metric Definition & Understanding Architecture Views & Viewpoint Design Solution Modelling & Modelling Skills Benefits Analysis In-depth understanding of security best practices for cloud environments.

Good working knowledge of Azure and other Cloud Platforms Good working knowledge of COTS packages, such as ERP & CRM Solutions for Core Business Capabilities Good working knowledge of Business Productivity Platforms such as Microsoft 365, Teams & SharePoint Good working knowledge of Low-Code Platforms Good working experience with SaaS solutions and integrations.

Ability to evaluate vendor performance and make data-driven decisions.
