OverviewAs part of a global tax organization, the Indirect Tax Senior Specialist will assist the Global Indirect Tax Compliance leads, managing efforts to ensure compliance with local and regional Indirect Tax laws, accurate filings, documented processes, and timely resolution of tax matters to reduce the organization's tax burden.This role requires strong Indirect Tax advisory knowledge, analytical skills, and communication abilities.
Responsibilities include master data analysis, transactional inputs, system design, and controls.The candidate should be a quick learner, adaptable, and capable of bringing leadership and innovative ideas to VAT compliance processes.Hybrid role - at least 2 days per week in the office.RequirementsPosition Responsibilities : Review outsourced or in-house Indirect Tax returns from multiple EMEA jurisdictions.Act as a key liaison between Indirect Tax and other departments to enhance VAT compliance.Monitor tax processes and systems for efficiency, accuracy, and regulatory compliance.Identify opportunities for process improvements and lead implementation.Stay updated on changes in Indirect Tax legislation and communicate impacts effectively.Education & Experience : Qualifications in Accounting, Finance, or related fields.Minimum of 5 years experience in an MNC tax department or similar environment.Strong understanding of EU VAT Directive and local application.Part-qualified CTA, ACCA, CPA, or other VAT-specific qualifications.Fluent English; additional languages are advantageous.Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.Track record of continuous improvement and optimization.Other Skill Requirements : Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills.SAP ERP experience, especially in tax determination, is preferred.Comfortable working in high-volume, deadline-driven environments with attention to detail.Adaptability to change and problem-solving skills.Strong work ethic and flexibility to support colleagues as needed.
