Integer is looking for a talented, enthusiastic Technician to join a dynamic R&D team developing innovative catheters & guidewires across multiple therapy areas including neurovascular, structural heart & peripheral applications. This role requires someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, takes initiative, and brings creative problem-solving to technical challenges. The ideal candidate will support R&D through hands-on technical work, equipment maintenance, and continuous improvement efforts.

Essential job duties and responsibilities :

Employees are expected to support the quality concepts inherent in the business philosophies of Integer including a variety of job related tasks, which may not be specific to this position profile.

Accountabilities Include :

  • Setup and Operate R&D Equipment Setup and operation of R&D equipment (e.g. braiding machine, laminator, laser welder etc.)
  • Support Process Development Design of new prototype processesDefine and document process procedure stepsModification of existing processesBuild / Modification of processes including but not limited to…Process Characterization (DOE etc.)Debugging & troubleshooting of existing equipment / processesValidation (IQ, OQ, PQ, PPQ)
  • Participate in Product Design Activities Initial design evaluationsProvide support for product concept buildsHelp test and evaluate different design conceptsDocument builds and testing in Laboratory notebooks with full traceability

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements :

  • Minimum of Level 6 Trade Certification or equivalent 3rd level qualification
  • 2+ years of experience in a technician or similar hands-on role
  • Strong mechanical / electrical aptitude and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks
  • Excellent communication and documentation abilities
  • Skills And Knowledge

  • Knowledge of GMP and manufacturing processes
  • Ability to work as part of a cross-functional team
  • Knowledge of mechanical design & build techniques
  • Ability to work with and manage vendors to accomplish tasks
  • Experience in validation activities
  • Good knowledge of machine control systems and techniques
  • Experience in some of the following areas is desirable : Wire StraighteningLaser WeldingBraidingGrinding ApplicationsPolymer ReflowPTFE CoatingHydrophilic CoatingHeat TreatmentMetrologyHigh Volume Manufacturing
  • Knowledge of techniques and tools such as DOE, statistical techniques and lean tools is an advantage
  • Proficiency and experience in 2D and 3D modelling software is an advantage
  • Good report writing and test analysis
  • Good computer literacy and communication skills.
