Supports the health safety and wellbeing (HSW) team to provide health and safety delivery on the project / s. Responsible for supporting (area / team), using basic / established technical capabilities.

You’ll be responsible for :

  • Supporting the implementation of business health safety and wellbeing (HSW) policies, procedures, guidance notes and standards.
  • Assisting team / s with audits on behalf of the business for ISO 9001, 14001, 45001 and other applicable standards
  • Supporting team / s with creation and coordination of inspection and audit schedule / s.
  • Carrying out health safety and wellbeing (HSW) Inspections, supporting audits.
  • Collaborating to support the development of new standards aligned with corporate standards.
  • Supporting the analysis of results from reporting, audits, corrective actions, operations reports and key performance indicators (KPI’s).
  • Assisting with the identification of gaps for improvement and helping develop mitigation plans to support rectification.
  • Developing working relationships with (range of) internal stakeholders.
  • You’ll need to have :

  • Digitally savvy.
  • Experience working in an HSW role and interest in the industry.
  • Good organisational and time management skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work to deadlines.
  • Ability to build good working relationships with people.
  • Use own initiative, proactive and solution focused.
  • Self-Starter. Work in a collaborative manner.
  • Health and safety qualification e.g. IOSH managing safely level 2 UK (or equivalent).
  • You’ll also have :

  • Awareness of : HSW legislation, HSW management systems, HSW inspections, risk assessment.
  • Have or working towards Level 3 Qualification in Safety Management, e.g. Nebosh Certificate (or equivalent).
