Maintenance Technician

We are currently seeking a motivated and reliable Maintenance Technician to join our Facilities Management Team. This position is open to both part-time and full-time candidates. The successful applicant will play a vital role in ensuring our hospital and residential facilities remain safe, functional, and welcoming for residents, staff, and visitors.

Our hospital provides a wide range of neuropsychiatric services for adults with serious and enduring mental health conditions, including Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease, Huntington's disease, early-onset dementias, schizophrenia, and mood disorders. We are proud to be the only facility in Ireland offering specialised care for individuals living with Huntington's disease.

Key Responsibilities :

• Perform general maintenance duties, including painting, masonry, basic carpentry, and minor repairs.
• Collaborate with the Maintenance Team to deliver day-to-day maintenance and installations across the hospital and residential areas.
• Conduct routine preventative maintenance and maintain accurate service records.
• Maintain high standards of decoration and general building appearance.
• Prioritise tasks from the maintenance log in consultation with departmental managers.
• Carry out regular safety inspections, including checks on emergency lighting, fire alarms, and firefighting equipment.
• Identify and troubleshoot maintenance issues, coordinating prompt repair to minimise service disruption.
• Liaise with on-site tradespeople and external contractors as needed.
• Promote and uphold a safe and well-maintained environment across all facilities.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives led by the Head of Facilities Management.
