Morning position - Preschool Room Assistant; 9 : 00am - 12 : 30pm available for a kind & nurturing Early Years Educator at Childrens Republic Montessori, Killeeneen NS, Galway.

Additional afternoon hours are available if required.

Roles and Responsibilities

Planning the daily activities of the Montessori class, together with other staff and volunteers.
Supporting the children in their learning in order to ensure their continuing social, emotional & educational development.
Assist in fostering a positive & attractive learning environment to ensure that the children spend their time at Childrens Republic in nurturing & stimulating surroundings.
To assist in preparing resources and equipment as necessary, in order to support the children's learning.
To assist in maintaining clear records and observations so that children receive the maximum benefit from their time at Childrens Republic.

The successful candidate must have

Minimum QQI Level 6 qualification in Early Childhood Care and Education or equivalent.

A love for Outdoor Play including Forest Adventures, Beach Days and Theatre / Creative experiences.

Be creative, self-motivated and passionate about early learning and development.

A strong working knowledge of Aistear, Síolta and the emergent curriculum.

The ability to plan for, record and document childrens development.

Be reliable, flexible, organised and trustworthy.
