Your new role
In this role, you will be responsible for preparing statutory accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies. You will assist in the preparation of management accounts and financial statements, as well as complete VAT returns and ensure timely submissions. You will also support the preparation and filing of both corporation and personal tax returns. Additional duties include performing bank reconciliations, maintaining general ledgers, and liaising with clients to gather financial information and resolve queries. Ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements is essential, as is supporting senior team members with ad hoc financial tasks and projects.
What you'll need to succeed
The ideal candidate will be part-qualified in ACCA, ACA, or an equivalent professional qualification, with at least 1–2 years of experience in a practice environment. A strong understanding of accounting principles and tax regulations is essential, along with proficiency in accounting software such as Sage, Xero, or QuickBooks. You should possess excellent attention to detail, strong time management skills, and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
