Peer Researcher, Advocacy, Dublin Location : Dublin Contract : Hours are not fixed, Specific Purpose The purpose of this role is to support the work of the Focus Ireland’s monitoring and evaluation programme. What you will do : Assist in Focus Ireland’s monitoring and evaluation programme as directed by the Research Manager and Research Officer. Conduct surveys with customers by phone to collect data on satisfaction with services. Data entry of surveys Assist in the design of surveys, the preparation of research reports and work closely with other team members in communicating research findings to the wider organisation. Actively participate in identification of own training and development needs. Support other team members and actively participate in meetings. Adhere to all Focus Ireland Policies including confidentiality, data protection and access to records. Actively promote a healthy, safe, secure and productive working environment. Ensure that the Organisation’s Health, Safety and Security Policies and Procedures are fully implemented within the workplace. Contribute to the promotion of equality of opportunity, anti-discriminatory practice, diversity, individual rights and choice and other Focus Ireland values in all aspects of own work. To undertake such other duties as may be required from time to time by the Research Manager or Research Officer. Engage in supervision sessions on a regular basis with Research Manager or Research Officer Participate in relevant training and development courses as agreed with the Research Manager or Research Officer What you will need : Lived experience of housing insecurity / homelessness Good written and verbal communications skills. Desire to learn research skills Experience of conducting research with ‘vulnerable’ groups. (Desirable) Experience of conducting research in community, voluntary or statutory sector.
