The position

We have an exciting opportunity for a payroll manager with a strong bureau background to join our leading international firm and specifically our award-winning Payroll Division. Our Payroll bureau is expanding and provides outsourced payroll solutions to a diverse portfolio of clients ranging from multinationalpanies to owner managed businesses and to Public sector bodies. The successful candidate will work with a broad range of clients across various industries and manage a team of energetic payroll specialists. This ambitious individual will thrive on developing a team and delivering first in class client services within a growing division.

Key responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following :

  • Managing the delivery of a diverse portfolio of clients including domestic and international payroll clients
  • Oversight and mentoring of a team of payroll professionals
  • Oversight of billing including budgeting and the timely preparation of invoices
  • Attend management meetings and input into department planning and the delivery of strategic objectives
  • Advise on employerpliance obligations relating to various items of remuneration, including BIK, directors' fees, share based remuneration, termination payments etc.
  • Overseepliance with real time reporting and timely filing and payment of payroll taxes in respect of local and shadow payroll employees
  • Ensuring quality control procedures are adhered to at all times
  • Managing and developing a team of payroll professionals
  • Coordination of payroll audits on behalf of clients with experience in identifying areas of employer nonpliance and providing guidance on best practice
  • Continual processes improvement and standardisation of payroll operations and systems
  • Remain up to date with all accounting and regulatory standards to ensurepliance with all legislative practices
  • Building strong relationships with client representatives
  • Promoting financial accounting and outsourcing services both internally and externally

Ideal candidate

  • You have at least 5 years' PQE experience working in a busy payroll bureau environment
  • You are IPASS qualified
  • Strong technical skills and knowledge of payroll including PAYE, PRSI, USC, BIK, ROS, EFT, CSO, Gender Pay Gap & SSP
  • A self-motivated individual with an ability to work on their own initiative with an awareness for when to seek assistance and work collaboratively
  • Extensive experience working with payroll software packages and strong Microsoft Excel skills
  • An ambitious individual with energy, enthusiasm and passion for a new challenge and a desire to progress their career
  • Meticulous attention to detail, accuracy and the ability to manage multiple engagements, delegate appropriately and manage a team
  • Excellent time management skills with an ability to work effectively to deadlines
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, particularlymunication skills, both written and verbal
