Accounts Payable Team Lead Sector : Freight & Logistics Job Type : Full-Time | Permanent Hybrid : 3 days office / 2 remote Location : Greenogue Business Park, Rathcoole, Co. Dublin (Due to the nature of our location, own transport is recommended) We are looking for an experienced and proactive Accounts Payable Team Lead to take ownership of the AP function across two business units within PRL. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead a small, capable team, bring structure to a busy finance function, and collaborate across departments in a fast-moving environment. What Youll Be Doing : Leading the day-to-day operations of a 3-person accounts payable team, ensuring smooth and timely workflows. Mentoring and supporting team members to stay on top of their tasks and grow professionally. Managing and improving the purchase order (PO) process to ensure best practices are followed. Preparing and posting PO accruals as part of month-end closing. Reviewing and finalising supplier payment runs, ensuring accuracy and compliance. Monitoring creditors, conducting regular reconciliations, and proactively resolving any issues. Supporting the Finance Manager with year-end procedures, including audit preparation. Liaising with operations teams across transport and logistics to resolve queries efficiently. Coordinating with billing and credit control to provide cross-training and coverage as needed. Participating in ad-hoc finance and systems projects. What Youll Bring : Proven experience managing or supervising an Accounts Payable team. A solid understanding of end-to-end AP processes. Strong organisational skills and the ability to juggle multiple priorities. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills comfortable working across departments. Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and handling large data sets). Desirable (But Not Essential) : Previous experience in the freight or logistics industry. Familiarity with financial audits and year-end processes. Experience with Azyra and Exchequer systems. Why join us?
