Due to continued growth in our in-house HGV maintenance workshop operation at Baldonnell, Dublin, NVD have a position for an experienced HGV mechanic.

The ideal candidate will have a "can do attitude" and good problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities : Carry out general mechanical planned and corrective maintenance.Carry out diagnostic fault identification and rectification repair.Assist with apprenticeship training.Essential Skills and Experience : HGV or Plant mechanical maintenance experience.Excellent communication and team working skills.Determined and resilient, with the drive to complete tasks.Ideally have experience working on Mercedes, Renault & Scania.Ideally have experience working with basic hydraulic systems.Personal Specification : Organised.Self-motivated.Strong work ethic.Eagerness to learn and share knowledge.Flexible.Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while remaining calm and focused.Successful candidates must hold a formal qualification ie; National Craft Certificate or City and Guilds level 3 in vehicle repairs or equivalent and have a minimum of 3 years post apprenticeship experience with the maintenance of HGV trucks and trailers.Job Types : Full Time (4 x Day working week with flexible start / finish times roster).

Rate : €26.50 per hour.
