Job description

The Wright Group is seeking a dynamic, experienced General Manager to launch and lead our flagship multi-floor gastro pub in the heart of Dublin. With a traditional Irish pub at its core, this new concept spans four floors - from a vibrant street-level bar to a premium-casual restaurant and event spaces above. Expect exceptional pints, elevated Irish cuisine, and warm hospitality - all in one destination.

What You'll Be Leading

  • A multi-level venue including :
  • Traditional pub (ground floor & basement)
  • Premium-casual dining (first floor)
  • Private events / function room (top floor)
  • A high-performing team of up to 40 staff
  • A space that blends modern food and drink trends with classic Irish pub culture

Key Responsibilities

  • Full operational oversight : front-of-house, back-of-house, bars & events
  • Deliver standout guest experiences and uphold brand excellence
  • Lead, train & inspire a passionate hospitality team
  • Optimize staffing, payroll & scheduling
  • Drive revenue through smart sales strategy & cost control
  • Monitor and manage P&L, budgets, stock & inventory
  • Collaborate with marketing on campaigns & social media
  • Ensure compliance with all licensing, health & safety standards
  • Be the face of the brand at community and promotional events

    • What We're Looking For

  • 5+ years' experience managing a high-volume gastro pub or premium casual venue
  • Proven financial & operational leadership
  • Deep knowledge of modern food trends, wine, beer & cocktails
  • A passion for traditional Irish hospitality with a fresh, premium twist
  • Excellent communicator with strong guest service ethos
  • Tech-savvy : POS systems, inventory, and financial reporting
  • Flexible availability - including evenings, weekends & holidays

    • Bonus Points For

  • Experience with marketing & social media in hospitality
  • Familiarity with licensing laws & supplier networks
  • Knowledge of Dublin, London, or New York pub / restaurant scenes
