Respite Support
Part Time | 19 Hours weekly | Weekends | Permanant Contract
The Role :
The aim of this role is to support people to have a variety of activities based on individual preferance within the community with a focus on achieving person centred goals. Supporting the development of social skills is a key part of the role along with community integration utilising local amenities like bowling, swimming, cinemas, museums and hillwalking.
Cheeverstown Respite Services wish to expand & develop their suite of service to support people to meet socially for evenings & weekends.
Support to engage in chosen activities & offer opportunities to meet friends & people with similar interests.
This role is open to Nurses, Care assistant and Social care workers
Person Specification :
Self-motivated & driven people with a passion for community inclusion
Experience working with adults with an intellectual disability
Excellent Communication skills
Full driving license is preferred but not essential
Minimum qualification is a FETAC / QQI Level 5 Major Award in Social Care / Healthcare or relevant qualification to match your grade

Cheeverstown is a voluntary organisation, regulated by the Health Information & Quality Authority (HIQA).
We provide a wide range of person centred services including residential, respite and day services to almost 400 children and adults with an intellectual disability in the south Dublin area.
Please note : All job offers are subject to two successful references, ongoing Garda Vetting and a satisfactory pre-employment medical.
Salary will be paid as per the HSE consolidated pay scales .
