QA Engineer (manual and Automation)

Day rate 350-400 per day
Junior Quality Assurance analyst with an understanding of Agile along with the ability execute manual and automation test cases. The successful candidate will be able to communicate clearly on these and will have 2 years' experience in both manual and automated QA focused tools.

Job brief
- QA analyst will be responsible for executing prepared scripts that evaluate performance and compatibility with the intended operating environment of developed applications or software.
- You will also be able to review system requirements and track quality assurance metrics (e.g. defect densities and open defect counts).
- The QA analyst role plays an important part in our product development process.
- Our ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting tests before product launches to ensure software runs smoothly and meets client needs, while being cost-effective.
- Ultimately, you should monitor all stages of software development to identify and resolve system malfunctions to meet quality standards.
- Types of testing will cover Functional and non-functional, Load, Performance and Accessibility testing.
Responsibilities
Execute automation scripts using open source tools.Identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs.Review test results and subsequently modifies tests, if necessary.Liaise with internal teams (e.g. developers and product managers and QA engineers) to identify system requirements.Investigate the causes of non-conforming software and train users to implement solutions.Contribute to test plans and test cases.Requirements and skills
Some work experience in software development.Some work experience in software quality assurance.Knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes.Some experience with automated testing tools.Some knowledge of SQL and scripting.Some experience working in an Agile / Scrum development process.Desirable Requirements / Experience
Experience working in large scale central Government is preferable.Hold some formal training in relevant discipline. Minimum NFQ level 6 qualification is preferable.2 years' experience as a tester.Be able to work as part of an existing team, without the need for any training or skills transferTest knowledge of documentation, scripting, defect management and testing experience.
