Overall Purpose

The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for planning, managing, and delivering complex technology and regulatory projects within the financial mortgage sector. This role ensures alignment with strategic objectives, timely execution of deliverables, and regulatory compliance, most notably through direct engagement with AIB Bank. The successful candidate will play a critical bridging role between internal technical teams and external regulatory stakeholders, ensuring end-to-end delivery transparency and quality.

What will you be doing?

• Work closely with the Development Manager and development teams to ensure projects are aligned with the company's technology strategy and architectural standards. Oversee the development, testing, and deployment of new systems and enhancements to existing systems.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for our client, managing communications, providing project updates, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including the Development Manager, developers, QAs, BAs, and other relevant parties. Facilitate effective communication and collaboration across all teams.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks. Proactively address and resolve project issues, escalating to senior management as needed. Develop and implement risk management plans to minimize potential disruptions to project timelines and deliverables.
• Develop and implement comprehensive project strategies aligned with organizational objectives
• Coordinating project planning, risk management, change control, and status reporting processes.
• Managing multiple project workstreams simultaneously, including both technical and business-focused projects.
• Ensuring full documentation and audit-readiness in collaboration with compliance teams.

Complexity

Direct experience interacting with the Bank's or other regulatory bodies, including experience with audits and compliance reporting. The Senior Project Manager must navigate ambiguity, adapt to shifting priorities, and balance the demands of internal delivery with external regulatory compliance. Projects will vary in size and scope but are typically multi-disciplinary and business critical.

Influence

The role has high visibility across the organization, influencing decision-makers across Technology, Risk, Compliance, and Business Operations. It requires regular interaction with senior leadership and regulators, making strong interpersonal skills and professional presence essential. The role also shapes the culture and effectiveness of delivery teams through mentorship and leadership.

Resource

The Senior Project Manager will have project leadership over cross-functional delivery teams. Resource alignment and prioritization will be conducted in partnership with functional leads including the Development Manager, QA Lead, and BA Manager.
