Location : Dublin City Centre Hybrid / Remote : Hybrid Compensation : €65,000 - €75,000 Our client is a public sector organisation seeking a qualified accountant / QBE for an initial 6-9 month contract. The successful candidate should possess a clear understanding of best practice financial processes and general ledger accounting concepts. Key Responsibilities Oversee key areas of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and verification of financial data within the Financial Management System. Preparation and posting of monthly financial journals and fixed asset accounting. Completion of periodic regulatory submissions to the parent department. Preparation of Annual Financial Statements ensuring full compliance with statutory and regulatory frameworks. Continuous improvement with a focus on process automation and reporting. Review, develop, and deliver training when implementing new financial policies and procedures. Develop, monitor, and report KPIs for financial process effectiveness, control adequacy, and risk management. Support senior finance management in delivering strategic and operational initiatives. Key Skills Qualified (ACA / ACCA / CIMA / CPA) accountant or one who is qualified by experience High level of accuracy with strong attention to detail and numeracy skills. Be able to work effectively with a team to ensure that optimum performance is achieved. Have extensive experience of financial accounting.
