You are skilled at managing individuals who may have previously struggled with ownership of their responsibilities, and youre adept at identifying and addressing underperformance. You recognize the importance of setting clear, measurable goals to enable your team to succeed. Your leadership style is hands-on and supportive, focused on providing clear direction, identifying areas for growth, and offering direct mentorship. You view performance improvement plans (PIPs) as a last resort, preferring to invest in coaching and development first.You have at least 2 years of experience managing 1-2 Product Owners as your direct reports, and you are eager to take the next step in your leadership journey. In this role, you will manage a team of 5 Product Owners, with a focus split approximately 60% on people management and 40% on product ownership. You are deeply passionate about building excellent products and championing product management best practices. You're persistent in driving outcomes, comfortable navigating ambiguity, and confident in making data-informed decisions, even when that means pushing back or saying no. Practical, hands-on experience working as a Senior Product Owner. You have a proven history of working closely and effectively with Software Engineering teams, fostering strong, trust-based relationships to ensure alignment on goals and execution. Your strategic mindset and product acumen allow you to manage one dedicated Scrum team while leading your team of POs in delivering high-value features across other teams. You thrive in fast-paced, collaborative environments where you can inspire others, solve complex problems, and drive meaningful impact. Office First : - This role will be full-time in their Dublin-based office for your first six months. This will massively assist you with your onboarding. Their modern office space has a great buzz, with everyone collaborating. After probation, it's three days a week in the office or more if you like. People Management (60%) : - Lead, mentor, and support a cross-functional Scrum team and Product Owners, driving performance, growth, and team alignment. Resolve issues independently and provide coaching to strengthen delivery and ownership. Conduct regular check-ins, career development discussions, and performance reviews. Product Ownership (40%) : - Own and prioritize the product backlog, aligning with business goals and team capacity. Define high-level product features and collaborate with developers to refine specifications. Ensure development teams clearly understand requirements before breaking them into user stories. Remove blockers to maintain delivery momentum. You are instrumental in identifying and managing dependencies. Taking a proactive approach to uncovering and managing them. Cross-functional Collaboration : - Partner with product and engineering teams to support smooth delivery. Provide real-time clarity on product requirements. Lead PI Planning, Sprint Reviews, and backlog refinement sessions. Agile Delivery & Tools : - Participate in Agile ceremonies and use tools like Jira, Slack, Teams, and Confluence to manage delivery and communication. Drive alignment on project, release, and sprint goals. Communication & Presentation : - Deliver live product demos to stakeholders. Use PowerPoint for executive-level presentations when appropriate.
