As the Associate Health Economist for GSK Ireland, you will be the health economics and outcomes research (HEOR) expert and skills resource for the GSK Ireland business with responsibility for completion of pharmaco-economic (PE) submissions (rapid reviews and HTA) for the innovative GSK and ViiV medicines' portfolio.
You will also lead on HEOR technical documents and / or research projects to maintain and grow the publicly and privately funded vaccine business.

Discover more about our company wide benefits and life at GSK on our webpage Life at GSK | GSK In this role you will Provide the HEOR expertise for all NCPE pharmaco-economic submissions (rapid review [RR] and full-HTA) for new innovation medicines and indication extensions (in all therapy areas including oncology, respiratory, HIV therapies and others), and lead on HEOR technical documents and / or research projects for the vaccines business.Assume the role of project manager and lead author for all sections of the PE dossiers (RR / HTA) to ultimately secure timely patient access to new GSK and ViiV medicines (reporting to the Head of Market Access and supported by the Medical Affairs team for clinical and epidemiology sections).Define the appropriate clinical profiles, relevant comparators and evidence generation needed for delivering robust HTA submissions for the innovation portfolio in line with the commercial strategy of GSK Ireland.
Work with the medical affairs team to identify and include all necessary clinical data and scientific publications required for the HTA dossierGather the relevant epidemiological, clinical, comparator and ancillary cost of treatment data / inputs required for the production and completion of pharmaco-economic and budget impact analyses for PE dossiers.Build the final cost-effectiveness model(s) appropriate for the Irish healthcare setting using the reference global cost-effectiveness model.
Complete all modifications required for compatibility with the requirements of the NCPE.Generate all health outcomes (HO) data, conduct HO studies and publish findings relating to existing and new GSK and ViiV medicines to support the clinical and economic value proposition in commercial negotiations with the payor to secure the ambition for speed and breadth of access for Irish patients to these innovative medicines.Why you? Basic Qualifications & Skills : We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals : Bachelor's degree in relevant science, engineering or business area with master's qualification in health economics.3 years' experience working in the Irish pharmaceutical and / or healthcare environment of which 1-2 years of specific experience in pharmaceutical economics and / or health economics.Experience of working for and / or engaging with Irish HTA agencies is essential.Expert working knowledge in pharmaceutical and / or health economics modelling and budget impact analyses, outcome research methodology, quality of life measurement and cost data identification for use in the health technology assessment in the target therapeutic areas.Knowledge and working understanding of the national guidelines in economic evaluation, including the Guidelines for the Economic Evaluation of Health Technologies in Ireland (2019) and Guidelines for the Budget Impact Analysis of Health Technologies in Ireland (2018), along with the Health (Pricing and Supply of Medical Goods) Act 2013.Experience with NCPE processes, HSE value propositions, evidence generation for HTA dossiers and pricing and reimbursement strategies successfully implemented with the HSE.Preferred Qualifications & Skills : Please note the following skills are not necessary, just preferred, if you do not have them, please still apply : Qualified pharmacist or medical doctor with master's and / or PhD qualification in health economics.Health economics work experience for HTA submissions in the oncology therapy area.Interpersonal Skills : Ability to build internal networks and work across the business to achieve results.Ability to create and maintain appropriate external customer networks relevant to the role.Visibly demonstrates passion, energy, drive and enthusiasm in their role.Strong communication skills and a proven ability to influence and work collaboratively across an organization and at all levels.Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team of individuals to achieve results.Closing Date for Applications – 16th July 2025 Please take a copy of the Job Description, as this will not be available post closure of the advert.
