We're partnering with a Galway based multi-national medical device client who are looking for a dynamic and experienced
Senior Principal Project Manager
to join their team and drive impactful innovations in medical technology.
In this role, you'll play a critical part in
developing and delivering life-changing products
by managing cross-functional teams, ensuring project alignment, and pushing the boundaries of engineering excellence.
Responsibilities
Lead and execute project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource management
Ensure compliance with design control and regulatory requirements
Define, negotiate, and coordinate resource needs across departments
Communicate project status and key updates clearly to stakeholders
Manage project budgets and oversee capital expenditures
Drive project execution from initiation through successful delivery
Identify potential risks early and implement mitigation strategies
Develop systems and tools to monitor project performance and ensure alignment with goals
Travel up to 25% to support collaboration and project execution across sites
Requirements
Minimum :
Bachelor's degree (Level 8) in engineering, science or a related field
At least 10 years of relevant industry experience or 8 years with an advanced degree
Demonstrated success in managing complex, cross-functional projects from start to finish
Preferred :
Experience with ablation products and energy-based medical technologies (e.g., catheters, generators)
Strong knowledge of medical device regulations and standards (IEC 60601, IEC 62304, ISO 14971, ISO 13485)
Proficiency in project management tools
Strong understanding across the product development lifecycle
Advanced degree (Engineering, Science, or MBA), PMP or Lean / Six Sigma certification is a plus
