About this Position

This is a hands-on SHE Specialist role focused on driving safety, health, and environmental standards across our operations, with a strong emphasis on risk assessment, contractor management, and continuous improvement in line with ISO 45001 and ISO 14001.

What you´ll do

  • Knowledge and experience of implementing and maintaining EHS management systems in line with recognized standards (preferably ISO 45001 & ISO 14001).
  • Experience of construction project risk assessment, permitting systems and contractor management.
  • Ability to conduct thorough risk assessments including task, equipment, chemical and machinery risk assessments.
  • Management of an industrial hygiene programme.
  • Provide technical EH&S advice for various processes including the management of change and chemical related projects.
  • Delivery of training programmes on EH&S topics.
  • Development of EH&S procedures.
  • Experience in incident / accident investigations and root cause analysis.
  • Ability to independently lead SHE projects and initiatives.

What makes you a good fit

  • Third level qualification in Science or Engineering
  • A recognised third level qualification in Safety and Health and / or Environmental Science / Engineering is a requirement.
  • 2-5 years’ experience working in an environmental health and safety role.
  • Prior experience of working in a construction / manufacturing / chemical related industry.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft packages including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent communication, leadership and presentation skills.
  • Self-directed with demonstrated efficient work methods, problem solving skills and ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast paced environment.
