Irish Lights is recruiting for two Operations Officers on board its multi-purpose DP 1 vessel, the ILV Granuaile.
The vessel’s primary duties involve maintenance of floating and fixed aids to navigation around the coast of Ireland.
As Operations Officers on board Granuaile, the successful candidates will keep navigational watches and provide support to the Master and Senior Operations Officer in all aspects of the ships administration and operational tasking.
As well as undertaking these duties, they will be involved in maintaining aids to navigation, including lighthouses and buoys, and surveying the Irish coast utilising the latest surveying technology.
To apply, candidates must hold a minimum valid STCW II / 2 certificate (Chief Mate), all the associated STCW short courses and a valid Seafarers Medical Certificate. Previous experience on specialised vessels such as aids to navigation, offshore or naval vessels is desired.
The position offers an attractive salary range (starting point of the salary scale is €57,287 rising to €68,380), time-for-time roster (4 weeks on / 4 weeks off) and a generous defined pension scheme.
