Junior Mechanical Design Engineer

ProSource Group are seeking a Junior Mechanical Design Engineer on behalf of one of Irelands leading Mechanical, Electrical, and Sustainability Consultancies. This is a Dublin-based position. The company in question work in multiple sectors, including commercial, residential, healthcare, education & industrial. Salary : €44,000 - €48,000 DOE Key Duties : Collaborate with architects and other engineering disciplines to develop innovative and sustainable mechanical systems for construction projects. Create detailed mechanical design plans, drawings, and specifications, adhering to local building codes and industry standards. Focus on designing energy-efficient HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems to minimise environmental impact and operational costs. Apply your technical expertise to select and size mechanical equipment and components, ensuring they meet performance and budget requirements. Assist in project management by coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, managing project timelines, and ensuring designs meet client expectations. Stay up to date with Irish building regulations and industry codes, and ensure designs are compliant with all relevant guidelines. Contribute to the development of cutting-edge mechanical engineering solutions, utilising emerging technologies and best practices. Review and approve mechanical designs to ensure accuracy, functionality, and safety. Collaborate with clients to understand their specific needs and provide expert guidance on mechanical design aspects. Requirements : Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering / Building Services Engineering or a related field. Candidates must be based in Ireland & have local knowledge of Irish building regulations. Native written and spoken English proficiency is essential,and preferably with some Irish workplace experience already. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other relevant design software. Knowledge of building systems, HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
